Survivors are The LGBT Cancer Project’s heart and soul. If you and we didn’t have cancer, The LGBT Cancer Project wouldn’t exist. We want to be sure we’re providing the most actionable information and helpful services to people diagnosed with cancer in our community.
The Survivor, Family and Friends Advisory Board is our new way to hear your voice. Membership is open to all diagnosed people, their family members (as they define them) and friends.
The Board will meet three to four times a year via ninety minute teleconferences to discuss your suggestions about advocacy, engagement and creating meaningful change. Board members will participate in at least one call per year and will be encouraged to email their thoughts between meetings.
This is the place for positive ideas or constructive complaints about the way our LGBT cancer community works, or, fails to work, on your behalf.
